The Virginia Commonwealth University Office of Alumni Relations hosted a community bike ride during VCU Alumni Month to connect alumni with the local community. Because this was a brand-new event, the marketing campaign needed to introduce the activity and generate excitement to encourage participation
With no existing event photography or visual assets, the project required a fully original visual direction while still aligning with the established VCU brand identity.
Gears in Motion
Using the university’s brand guidelines and logo, I created custom artwork and graphic elements to capture the energy and community spirit of the event.
The campaign was designed as a cohesive system across print and digital formats, ensuring a consistent visual identity regardless of format or placement. Each asset was optimized for its specific use case, from a postcard to social media graphics and paid digital advertisements.
